Chamber to host barbecue lunch at clubhouse Wed.

The Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce is hosting at complimentary barbecue lunch for members and prospective members at the Lincolnton Clubhouse on Wednesday, October 8, from 12 until 2 p.m.

Renewal dues and new memberships will be accepted at this time.

Also, special guest speakers will be on hand to discuss the benefits of chamber membership. Some of these benefits are:

.. Member companies, with less than 100 employees, are eligible to receive discounted health insurance for an average savings of $120 per year per employee.

.. Space is available in the chamber's literature display case at the Welcome Center for members' business cards and brochures.

.. Chamber members are referred when products and/or services are requested.

.. Chamber functions are a great way to network with other business owners in the community.

.. Members are listed in the annual membership directory, with over 300 copies distributed to members, businesses, and visitors.

.. Members can participate in a drug-free workplace program that entitles businesses to a 7.5-percent discount on worker's compensation insurance.
