TO THE EDITOR

I would like to publicly thank Mr. Allen Walker, Dr. Randall Edmunds, and the Lincolnton Lions Club for their recent help. Due to their generosity, I have eyeglasses now and I'm able to see clearly!

As many of you know, I was hospitalized in August with blood clots in my lungs and leg. Upon release from the hospital, I was unable to work for several weeks. I had been having frequent headaches since my hospital stay, so I was sent for a full eye exam, specifically to be sure I did not have clots around my brain.

The exam revealed no clots; however, I found out that I desperately needed glasses. No income and the inability to work made it impossible for me to afford glasses.

The Lincolnton Lions Club has a great program where they provide eyeglasses and hearing aids for those who cannot afford it. I am so thankful for your service to our community. You have made my life better and my view clearer! Thank you!
