.. Irene Bailey visited in the William Bentley home on Sunday and attended church services at Salem Baptist Church on Sunday, August 30.

.. Congratulations to Chris Gable for first place, Larry Obriant for second place and James Cantrell for third place in the South Carolina pool tournament.

.. Dexter, Tammy, John and Kitten had supper together and then pulled for Marion Cliatt in the pool tournament. Do not ever put your desires above God's. Marion should have been at a Gideon meeting but chose to play pool in the pool tournament. He finished in seventh place.

.. A community fish fry was enjoyed by John, Kitten, Dexter, Tammy, Marion and Hilda, Harry "The Cook," Betty, Missey, Jimmy, Margaret, Jim, Betty and Bufford. All the trimmings were there including the rain. This was fun and enjoyed by everyone.

.. William Bentley and Marion Cliatt watched Lincoln County take Green County in football Friday night. After the game, Marion and Hilda and William and Lee enjoyed sausage biscuits and dessert on August 29th.

.. William and Lee Bentley enjoyed a cook-out of barbecue at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Bowick and James Bowick on Monday afternoon.

.. Dolly Smalley fell and is doing all right, but still needs our prayers.

.. Our community would like to welcome our new neighbors, Michael and Robin Layton and their daughters, Madison, 12, Kate, 10, Anna, 8, Ellie, 4 and Ava, 2. They are living in the former home of Miss Stella Hogan.

.. Mrs. Raymond Timmerman and Miss Erin Timmerman were lunch guests on Friday of Mr. and Mrs. William Bentley.

.. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Cliatt attended a Bible study at the Baptist Convention Center in Toccoa, Ga. They had a very good time.

.. Whitney, Kassidee and Courtney Owens spent Labor Day weekend with their Nana, Nancy Bailey.

.. Judy Webb spent a few days recently with her family.

.. Nancy Bailey visited her mother and sister this past week in Duluth, Ga.

.. Franklin and Brenda Bowick visited William and Lee Bentley Saturday afternoon and they were supper guests together at Fishing Creek Baptist Church Fellowship Hall for the benefit supper.
