Mr. Marcus Comer Bullock, 84, of Woodlawn-Amity Road, entered into rest on Sunday, August 31, 2008 at University Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, at Loco Baptist Church with Rev. James R. Neal officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

He was a native of Greene County and the son of the late Grady and Mabel Lundy Bullock. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served his country honorably during World War II, was retired from Mayfair Mills and was a member of Loco Baptist Church.

Mr. Bullock was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jones Bullock; son, Michael Keith Bullock; sister, Irene Marchman.

Survivors include two daughters, Lynn B. Thurmond of Lincolnton and Faye B. Mize and husband, Bill of Union Point, Ga.; one brother, Johnny O'Neal of Siloam, Ga.; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Ricky Brown, Ricky Crook, Jasper Johnson, Perry Kirkland, Michael Mongrue and Aaron Parton.
