A "Free Educational Workshop" will be held on Sat., Aug. 30, at the Church of Christ located at 58 Lexington Ave., Washington, Ga. from 1 - 5 p.m.

Learn about how to: improve and maintain good credit; protect yourself from consumer scams and identity theft.

Get information on: programs that can help you with home repairs; steps on how to become a homeowner; types of down payment assistance.

Also, if you are 55 years old or older, unemployed, and living on a limited income and would like to receive job training and get paid while you learn, you could be an idea candidate for the "Older Americans Community Senior Employment Program" sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor. More information will be provided at the Workshop.
