A trip to Costa Rica
     Clyde Tate, Jr., took his Lincoln Journal along to Costa Rica. He visited Liberia, Playa Flamingo and Playa Brasilito. The background of this picture was taken on the beach of Playa Flamingo. Clyde did some sightseeing, swimming and sampling plenty of the local foods.

Jenna Kinzle celebrates fifth birthday with party Aug. 16
      Jenna Kinzle, daughter of Anthony and Kristina Kinzle, celebrated her fifth birthday August 16, 2008 with a Jump City Party. When first arriving, Jenna was named mayor of Jump City. The children were asked to repeat the Pledge of Jump City which included many rules. They all decided to only say one, above all have fun. Which they did.

McClendon, Curley to exchange vows in ceremony Aug. 30
      Mr. and Mrs. Lee McClendon of Lincolnton, are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Carolyn Louise, to Michael Austin Curley, son of Ms. Rose Hardin Curley and Mr. Michael Curley, both of Lincolnton. The bride elect is a 2007 graduate of Westminister Schools of Augusta and currently attends Augusta State University.

      Captain and Mrs. Edward P. Boyd of Colorado Springs, Colo., announce the birth of their daughter, Molly Jane, on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Evans Army Medical Center in Fort Carson, Colo. She weighed six pounds, two ounces and was twenty inches long.

Banks wins Southeastern Championship Series
      Tyler Banks had the opportunity this summer to play in and win the Southeastern Championship Series with Chain Baseball of Columbus, Georgia. The team played all over the southeast and had the opportunity to play at historic Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama, the oldest baseball stadium in America.

McClendon honored with bridal shower at Pine Grove UMC
