Harry Fletcher Myers Jr.
Mr. Harry Fletcher Myers Jr., entered into rest on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at his residence.
A service of remembrance was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home - Telfair Street Chapel.
Mr. Myers served in the U.S. Army with service in both the Korean War and the Vietnam conflict. He was awarded the Bronze Star. Later after his retirement from the military, he went on to be an instructor of electronics. He will be missed by many family members, friends and students.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Sherrod.
Survivors include his wife, Mae McCorvey Myers; daughters and sons-in-law, Katrina and John Beier of Columbia, S.C., Lisa and Phillip Reese of Lincolnton, Brenda and Jay Hendley of Augusta, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, James H. and Debi Sherrod of Rockledge, Fla.; grandchildren, Nate Schweitzer, James D. (Kristina) Sherrod, Amanda Sherrod, Morgan Reese, Kelsey Reese, Blair (Dana) Reese, Jack, Charles and Benjamin Beier; and great-grandchildren, Lauren and Andrew Schweitzer, Emma Jane Sherrod and Landen Reese.
Elliott Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
