Melvin Edward Partridge

MELVIN EDWARD PARTRIDGE MELVIN EDWARD PARTRIDGE Mr. Melvin Edward Partridge, 89, Partridge Town Road, died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Lake Crossing Health Care Facility, Leah, Georgia.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, July 20 from New Hope Baptist Church, with the Revs. Benny Pate and Paul Reviere officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Partridge was the beloved husband of Nannie Etheridge Partridge for 66 years, and the son of the late Eddie Miles and Nancy Jane Reynolds Partridge.

A lifelong resident of Lincoln County, Mr. Partridge was a retired carpenter and farmer. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where he a member of the Men's Bible Sunday School Class and had served as both a deacon and choir member.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Kenneth Edward Partridge, Robert Lee Partridge and wife, Patty, Clarence Irvin Partridge and wife, Jan, Roger Dale Partridge and wife Frankie and Timothy Wade Partridge and wife, Debra all of Lincolnton. He is also survived by a daughter, Rachel P. Pharr and husband, Jerrel of Washington, Ga, Additional survivors include grandchildren Jerry Pharr, Lee Partridge, Darren Pharr, Lisa P. Johns, Stephanie P. Jordan, Leah Partridge, Mel Partridge, Scott Partridge, Terry Lambert, Debra Ann Strain and Melanie Kay Franklin along with 18 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jerry Pharr, Lee Partridge, Darren Pharr, Mel Partridge, Scott Partridge and Walter Palmer.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church General Fund, Post Office Box 1303, Lincolnton, Ga. 30817.
