Chamber Chatter

Happy summer! It's H-O-T outside! Can you believe school will start back in less than a month? Wow, I can't believe how fast time flies!

What does the word volunteer mean to you? A volunteer is a person who is a light to others, giving witness in a mixed-up age, doing well and willingly the tasks at hand-namely, being aware of another's needs and doing something about it. There are so many clubs/organizations seeking and needing volunteers here in Lincoln County. If you want to make a difference, just volunteer! Volunteers are not paid - not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless.

There are several events coming up for the Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce. And we need your help! We have the Holidays in Olde Lincoln Town coming up very fast and we have already started planning for the 2008 Holiday Parade. If you have great ideas or just want to have a lot of fun, please volunteer and help is with this great event!

"Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in."

If you are interested in helping with the Holidays in Olde Lincoln Town or any event with the Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce please email the Chamber Office at breese@lincolncountyga.com or call the Chamber at (706) 359.7970. You may also visit the chamber on-line at http://www.lincolncountyga.org.

We look forward to seeing you!!
