Emma Harris honored with surprise party at Lincoln Center
Emma (Emmie) Harris turned 60 years old on July 11, 2008 and was treated to a surprise party on July 12 at The Lincoln Center.
The party was given to her by her daughter, Alberta H. Elam and her sons, Albert Harris and Bobby Ricks, Jr.
She celebrated with her brother, Jessie L. Murray and her sisters, Mildred Elam, Peggy Maddox, and Faye Pete. She was also surprised by her sister, Reva Mae Bennett from Lexington, N.C. Also celebrating with her were son-in-law, Ellis Elam and daughter-in-law, Phylissa N. Harris.
There were also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members, and friends to attend the party. A total of about 75 guests attended.
Her colors were black and red. The food was prepared by her daughter, Alberta H. Elam and the cake was made by Sam's wholesale.
Emma would like to thank everyone who took part in making her day special and for all the gifts that were given. May God bless each of you!
