Sheriff reports on activities for the month of June

An activity report for the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office was issued recently by Sheriff Gerald Lawson.

According to the sheriff, the following arrests were made last month in the county:

..Lisa Marie Bass, 30, charged with one count of felony theft by taking in connection with a jewelry theft at a residence on Tankersley Road.

Some of the stolen items, valued at a total of $2,265, were later recovered and returned to the owner, stated Sheriff Lawson.

The defendant is currently out on a $5,000 property bond.

.. DeMario Reid, 23, charged with Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act (VGCSA [one count each of possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana]).

Reid is presently incarcerated in the Lincoln County Law Enforcement Center on a $50,000 property bond.

.. Justin Bentley, 18, charged with VGCSA (misdemeanor possession of marijuana).

The defendant was released on a $21,000 property bond.

.. Tyler Houghton, 19, charged with VGCSA (one count of possession of Schedule IV drugs) and one count of possession of alcohol by a minor.

He is currently out on a $15,000 property bond.

.. Michael Dover, 23, charged with DUI and weaving over the roadway.

He was released on a $2,660 property bond.

.. John Field, 18, charged with possession of alcohol by a minor.

The defendant is out on a $229 cash bond.

.. Darryl Gracey, 43, charged with one count each of aggravated assault and terroristic threats and acts.

He was released on a $40,000 conditional property bond.

In other items of information, Sheriff Lawson reported that during the month of June, 35 arrests were made and 47 incident reports were filed, including three for burglary and six for theft.

Lincoln County deputies also made three DUI arrests, worked 16 accidents, and served 62 civil documents in various parts of the county.
