A.H. Stephens State Park will be hosting its Annual Senior Fishing Rodeo on Saturday, June 21. Registration will held from 7:30 a.m. to 7:55 a.m. The fishing tournament will began at 8 a.m. and end at 12 p.m.

There will be three winner categories, which are the largest fish, the oldest fisherman, and a drawing for a door prize (for participants only). Admission is free but there is a $3 parking pass fee per vehicle.

Fisherman must be 55 years old or older to enter the tournament. Lake Liberty is restocked every year with 2,000 to 3,000 catfish. We expect the veterans to show the kids how its done and put a dent in the catfish population. The lake will be open to the general public after the program.
