Ashley Guin Henderson of Peoria, Illinois was the guest of honor at a baby shower Saturday afternoon, March 15, at the Danburg Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Hostesses were the ladies of the church.

In honor of the occasion, the ladies presented Mrs. Henderson with a corsage of white daisies accented with a baby rattle. As guests arrived, they signed the register at a table decorated with a white cloth which held a silk arrangement later to be used in the baby's nursery.

A lovely assortment of spring flowers, consisting of light blue delphinium, white gerbera daisies, rubrum lilies, mums and snapdragons, was centered on the refreshment table, which was covered in white with a mint green organza overlay.

Guests enjoyed a delicious assortment of party food, including pimiento cheese sandwiches, cheese straws, vegetables and dip, pecan sandies, key lime cheese ball, toasted pecans, taco dip and punch. The delicious shower party cake was made and decorated by Shanon Rentz of Lincolnton, a friend of Mrs. Henderson.

Fifty guests were invited. Special guests were the prospective grandmothers, Sherry DuBois of Tignall and Maudine Guin and Tommie Henderson of Lincolnton.
