GBA celebrates missions and missionaries at FBC April 26

CARROLL AND MITZI GOLDEN CARROLL AND MITZI GOLDEN The historic Georgia Baptist Association will celebrate missions and missionaries in a series of events that will provide folks the opportunity to interact with 24 missionaries from around the world.

Eight international missionaries from various countries will display artifacts from their ministry areas and be on hand to tell what God is doing through them on foreign soil. Eight North American missionaries will also be available to display materials about their work in North America and the needs that are being met through their ministry. Eight missionaries who serve either the Georgia Baptist Convention or other Georgia Associations will participate by telling what God is doing through their ministries.

The main event will be 10 a.m.- 3 p.m., Sat., April 26 at Washington First Baptist Church. In addition to the missionaries, Jolly the Clown will be present to entertain the children, and local talent will provide special music throughout the day. Lunch will be provided to all those who attend, and the event is open to the public.

The missionaries will be speaking in the churches of the Georgia Association April 27. Host churches would openly receive any visitors who might be interested in hearing the presentations. For a complete list of churches and missionaries, contact the Georgia Association office at 706- 678-7381.

The final event will be the Annual Spring Inspirational Meeting at 7 p.m. April 29 at Danburg Baptist Church. Speakers for that event will be Carroll Golden and Larry Theisen
