Colbi Reed Dunsmore recently earned a Masters of Arts in Teaching: Early Childhood Education from Augusta State University.

The M.A.T. program requires candidates to have an undergraduate degree and pass state certification requirements for the specific grade level or subject area.

The curriculum in this degree program is designed around the Board of Regent's Guiding Principles for Educators and was designed to alleviate the teacher shortage. Graduates of this program attain an in-depth knowledge of the subject matter described by the professional, state and institutional standards.

Colbi is married to Chris Dunsmore and is the daughter of Tab and Sherri Reed, of Lincolnton. She is a 2003 honor graduate of Lincoln County High School.
