Squadron offers boating course beginning Feb. 15
The Thurmond Lake Sail & Power Squadron will be offering The Squadron Boating Course in February consisting of four consecutive Friday and Tuesday afternoon sessions from 2 - 5 p.m. Classes will begin on Fri., Feb. 15 continuing on Feb. 19, 22, and 26. Classes will be held at the Mc- Cormick Public Library located at 201 Railroad Avenue, in McCormick, S.C.
This is a 12 hour comprehensive course for boaters which covers all aspects of boating: right of way, boat handling, docking, anchoring, required equipment, safety, state laws, safety, aids to navigation - and more.
The Thurmond Lake Sail & Power Squadron is part of the United States Power Squadron and is dedicated to promoting boating safety. We teach the Squadron Boating Course as a public service. Our qualified instructors teach for free. Your cost is for materials (books) only: $25 a person or $30 a couple. The Squadron Boating Course fills up fast and there is limited space available, so sign up today!
