Broun takes a stand against Washington's over spending
      Congressman Paul Broun recently announced that he will not request earmarked spending for projects to be included in this year's budget or appropriations bills. In addition, Congressman Broun supports the House Republican Leadership's call for an immediate moratorium to be placed on earmarked spending until significant reforms to the process are put in place.

Arrowood named to Dean's List at Georgia Tech
      Taylor Arrowood of Lincolnton made the Dean's List for fall semester 2007 at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Undergraduate students earning a 3.00 or higher academic average for the semester gain the distinction of being named to the Dean's List at Georgia Tech.
