"A penny for your thoughts' - Have we ever given a thought to the penny? Recently, I've begun collecting pennies regardless of its position - heads or tails - I pick up pennies when I see them. They have taught me two things about success:
#1 - Success is a product of opportunities and just like the penny, opportunities are everywhere. I did not always stop to pick up pennies. I was much too busy to pay attention to an insignificant amount of money, but when I purposed myself to LOOK for pennies, I FOUND them more often than not. When we purpose ourselves to look for success, we will find them in the everyday opportunities disguised as insignificant tasks.
#2 - Success is a product of opportunities and just like the penny, opportunities add up! Pennies com- bined over time increase in value. Everyday challenges are an opportunity to generate the character and confidence to face the next challenge. Each new face is a potential customer. Every new customer has a friend who can be your next new customer. Start small and allow it to build.
Most of us pass the penny and are never aware. In our quest to success, we set our sites on those things we perceive to have the highest value and neglect to grab the everyday insignificant opportunities in life. I challenge you to seek out the penny opportunity. Don't despise the day of small beginnings. Prepare yourself to seek out each opportunity that finds its place along your path to success because each small opportunity compacted together increases your chance for success!
