FBLA members will advance to state competition March 1

Lincoln County High School's Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) had 24 competitors compete in 33 events on Wednesday, January 23rd at the FBLA Region Competition in Swainsboro, GA agains 18 other schools. LCHS received 18 medals during the awards ceremony lead by Janelle Dukes, FBLA Region IV Vice President.
The top five winners were announced in each category. The following FBLA members will advance to the state competition in March: 1st place, Amanda Scott - Business Calculations; 2nd place, Taylor Dukes - E-Business; 2nd place, Donquita Williams - Client Services; 2nd place, Shannon Norman - Job Interview; 2nd place, Elizabeth Aaron - Introduction to Business Communication; 3rd place, Kimber Kirkland - Business Calculations; 3rd place, Kristen Freeman - Business Communications; 3rd place, Meg Ball & Hannah Crook - Emerging Business Issues; 3rd place, Janelle Dukes - Future Business Leader; 4th place, Taylor Dukes - Business Math; and 4th place, Janelle Dukes - Economics
Also placing in categories where the top 3 advance to state were the following students: 4th place, Savannah Crook & Amanda Scott - Business Presentation; 4th place, Emmi Layton, Sarah Sims & Tiquila Williams - Business Ethics; 4th place, Kristen Freeman - Public Speaking I
Lincoln County was also recognized for having the third largest FBLA chapter in Region IV.
Mrs. Dukes is very proud of all the students who took the time to study and prepare for this competition. There are more FBLA categories at the State level for FBLA members to compete.
