Health, education conference to be held at Ebenezer
      A Family and Community Health and Education Conference will be held Saturday, February 2, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon at Ebenezer Baptist Church, located on W.T. Mason Road off of Highway 79. The event is being sponsored by the East Central Georgia Health District, the March of Dimes, and C.U.R.E. (Citizens United for Rural Empowerment).

      Brett McGuire (R) held two press conferences on Thursday, January 17, to kick off his campaign for the District 117 seat in the Georgia House of Representatives. The seat is presently held by Barry Fleming, who has announced he will step down to run against incumbent Paul Broun for the privilege of representing the 10th District in the United States Congress.
