Doris Teasley Brindel

Mrs. Doris Teasley Brindel, 86, of Mooresboro, N.C., entered into rest Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at White Oak Manor in Shelby.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 21 at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Ivey officiating. Interment followed at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Mrs. Brindel was born March 11, 1921 to the late Bedford Alfred and Della Brown Teasley in Lincoln County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star Columbia, S.C.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arvel Denton Brindel; a son, Tony Arvel Brindel; five brothers; and four sisters.

Survivors include one son, James Arch Brindel of Ward, S.C.; one daughter, Troyce Smart-McSwain of Mooresboro; two sisters, Frances Banks and Matilda Spence, both of Lincolnton; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston, N.C., was in charge of arrangements.
