Sheriff offers reserve prog.

Sheriff Gerald S. Lawson is proud to announce that the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office is starting a reserve officer program. Sheriff Lawson said, "This is an effort to implement a volunteer program which will increase the safety of our citizens and provide the sheriff's office with the ability to focus our energy and resources to current/ongoing issues within the county."

This program has been very successful with other sheriff offices and provides an opportunity for the reservists to maintain skills acquired in the law enforcement field and the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office to have additional volunteer manpower during selected shifts/law enforcement commitments. Anyone that wishes to be a part of this program and want to know more about this program please contact the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and speak with either Lt. David Stevens or Investigator Jack Hancock at 706-359-7320.
