Anthony Chapel to host supper

The members of Anthony Chapel United Methodist Church have issued an invitation to the community at large to a festive Christmas supper, fol- lowed by a delightful holiday program, on Wednesday, December 19.

Supper will be served at 6:30 p.m., with the program set to begin at 8 p.m.

Concerning dinner, Anthony Chapel will furnish the turkey and dressing, along with other meats for the main course. All of the great cooks in the county are asked to bring their favorite dish to complement the meal.

The special holiday program is titled "The Singing Christmas Tree" and boasts the usual cast of characters plus a few not normally found in a Christmas play such as Noah and the "Samaritan woman." The pageant, which features performers from several local churches, was written by Lincoln County resident Dudley Bryant.

All local residents are encouraged to make the trip to Anthony Chapel UMC on Wednesday for an evening of inspiration, fellowship, and of course, a meal second to none.

Anthony Chapel UMC is located at 3619 Metasville Road.
