Grand Old Lady celebrates 100!
A "pig pickin'," attended by friends, family members, and neighbors, was held recently to celebrate the 100th birthday of the John Marshall Price House, the "Grand Old Lady of Double Branches." The twostory, wood frame home was built of piney-woods heart timber in 1907 at a cost of $8,000. In fact, it was one of the first houses in Lincoln County to feature bathroom facilities. The picturesque country home is owned by Wyatt and Nina Albea, who's the granddaughter of the late John M. Price.
