Women's luncheon to be held

The Savannah River Christian Women's Connection Luncheon will be held at Tara Country Club in Savannah Lakes Village on Wed., Dec. 12 at 12:30 p.m. and will conclude at 2 p.m. The cost is $12 and ladies may choose from our regular menu which will be Italian lasagna served with a garden salad and garlic bread or they may request a chef's salad if desired at the time of their reservations instead.

Our speaker, Edie Block, a former Hungarian, will testify of how she escaped from behind the Iron Curtain and came to our country searching for freedom and how she finally found it after realizing what true freedom really is really all about. Our special feature that day will be Ms. Ora Poole singing accompanied by Ms. Betty Jennings at the piano.

We will have some favorite Christmas items on display from some of our ladies that are dear to their hearts and they will have an opportunity to share why they are so special to them and their family. Come hear what joy these heirlooms add to their decorations and festivities during the holiday. One of these ladies will receive a special door prize for sharing her item with us to enjoy during the luncheon.
