FOL seeks home canned goods

Friends of the Library is hoping to provide an outlet for homemade canned goods at a booth at the library on December 1 when they have their semi-annual book sale. If you are a home-canner and would like to sell your creations to the public, please call the library at (706) 359-4014 to get your name on the list.

You will be permitted to price your goods yourself and stay to sell them if you like. Otherwise, FOL members will man the booth and sell them for you. To benefit Friends of the Library, we are asking that you give FOL ten percent of the profit you make. Of course, if you'd like to donate some home-canned goods, we'll be happy to sell them and retain the full profit for our organization. As most of you know, FOL is a moving force in keeping the library supplied with many extras and many additional books that the library lacks the funds to purchase out of its budget.

Lincoln County has so many talented home-canners, and we are providing a way for them to make a little extra cash from their talent. (After all, Christmas is coming up.) Please call the library if you are interested in this outlet for you home-canned creations. The deadline for calling is Wednesday, November 28.
