James Gary Jones, Jr.

Mr. James Gary Jones, 79, of Belair Road entered into rest Saturday, November 10, 2007.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, at Bellevue Cemetery.

Mr. Jones was the son of the late James G. Jones, Sr. and the late Mamie Rebecca Rich Jones. A lifelong resident of Augusta, he was retired from Archie Daniels Midland Corporation and was a Methodist. Mr. Jones was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and a former member of the Moose Club.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Dolores Gibbs Jones of Augusta, Ga.; a daughter, Shirley Jones Serrano of Augusta; a son, Alan Jones of Augusta; two brothers, Wesley D. Jones of Atlanta, Ga. and C. Hugh Jones of Augusta; four grandchildren, Brian Jones, Amy Walker, Michael Serrano and Ana Serrano; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Billy and Barbara Gibbs of Lincolnton.
