Elaine Harrod

Elaine Guillebeau Harrod, 57, of Moultrie, Ga., entered into rest Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Ga.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 10 at Pine Hill Baptist Church in Worth County with Rev. Donnie Wright officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Ms. Harrod was born February 11, 1950, in Lincoln County to the late Allen William Guillebeau and Mai Anderson Guillebeau. She was a long time resident of Colquitt County and a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church. She was health coordinator with Coastal Plain Headstart and was active in social work and child abuse advocacy and served on various child abuse councils.

Survivors include one son, Mark Harrod of Lincolnton; two daughters, Mia Harrod and her fiancée, Jamie Martin of Norman Park and Lauren Harrod Flanders and husband, Jason of Colbert; one granddaughter, Sadie Tracy of Norman Park; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Harold Bufford of Winston; an uncle, Louis Guillebeau of Lincolnton; and an aunt and uncle, Lou and Earl Partridge of Lincolnton.

Pallbearers were Charles Harrod, Ronnie Pattee, Noel Brown, Louis Hernandez, Jamie Hartsfield, and Norman Medders.

Donations may be made to children advocacy organizations.

Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.
