Food, fun and fellowship were in abundance at the park

Guests were thrilled to see Marshall Matt Dillon a/k/a Branson Beggs making the rounds at "Pioneer Day." Marshall Dillon, who won the costume contest in the Pre-K Division, is pictured here with his mother, Kimberly.
Taking a breather from all of the "Pioneer Day" festivities are Chris Finnegan (l) of Colbert, Georgia, and Cade Stinson of Franklin, Tennessee. The well proved to be a great hideout because the boys had no idea their mothers were searching for them.
Frankie Phillips (pictured) and her husband, Jerry, treated children of all ages to free cotton candy during "Pioneer Day."
O'Neal McClure explains the workings of an ax handle lathe to Bryan Godsey.
Barbara Powell (r) demonstrates the art of pottery making during "Pioneer Day" at the Lincoln County Historical Park.
Danny Byrd of Lincolnton is shown selling local honey at "Pioneer Day" Saturday, November 17.
