Thanksgiving service to be held at MCCHC

To get into the true spirit of the holiday season, area churches will join together in worship at the annual Community Thanksgiving Service set for Sunday, November 18, at 7 p.m. at Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church.

The event is being sponsored by the Lincoln County Ministerial Association.

Rev. Dan Rosser, pastor of Lincolnton Baptist Church, will bring the message, with special music presented by Terry Bonds, co-pastor of First Assembly of God; Karen James; and a community choir, under the direction of Rev. Bonds.

Everyone is invited to come and sing in the community choir. Practice will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary the day of the worship service.

The offering collected during the service will be used for charitable works in the community, including helping the needy in the county with utilities, rent, lodging, and food.

In addition to the love offering, the ministerial association will likewise be collecting canned food for the Lincoln County Food Pantry.

All members of the community are encouraged to attend this special worship service to thank God, both individually and corporately, for His many blessings.

Refreshments will be served in the church fellowship hall immediately following the program.
