Thornton dedicated in services held at Martin's Crossroads

COLE HARBIN THORNTON
Cole Harbin Thornton, five and one-half month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Thornton, was dedicated at Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church on October 28, 2007 at the 11:00 a.m. worship service with Rev. James James officiating.

Cole is the grandson of Charles and Josephine Thornton; Beverly Bramlett and Larry Wilder. He is the greatgrandson of Millie Ashmore and the late Clyde Ashmore; Lois Thornton of Thomson and the late J.C. Thornton; Gladys S. Bramlett of Colbert, Ga. and the late Odie C. Bramlett; the late Albert H. and Sally Beggs; and the late Frances Harbin Thornton (Cole's namesake).

Cole's aunt, Fran Harmon, and cousin, Jenna Harmon, sang "The Baby Song" during the service.

After the dedication, Mrs. Karen James sang, "Jesus Loves Me" as the congregation greeted the family.

Flowers and a blue teddy bear were placed in the church by Cole's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thornton.

A table set up in the foyer was decorated with pictures of Cole, a teddy bear carousel from Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thornton, and a bible and bunny rabbit given to him by Fran and Jenna Harmon when he was born.

Special guests, including his parents and grandparents, were his great-grandmother, Lois Thornton; Clay, Andrea and Zachary Bramlett; Brad, Sydney and Synclaire Thornton; Felicia Thornton; Fran and Jenna Harmon; Darrell Anderson; John and Jan Harris and Ashton McRee; Cole's Godparents, Brian and Joanne Howard; and Kaitlyn Howard.
