Hazardous lights TO THE EDITOR The newer yard lights that businesses use for security are so bright that they can blind a person driving their car at night if the lights are not aimed properly. Such is the case of two lights at the new site of Lincolnton Marine. Those two lights at the back of the lot are aimed in such a way that they blind night time drivers coming North on Hwy. 220 toward Hwy. 378. They are worse than looking into headlights on high beam of an oncoming car. Perhaps they could be placed in another spot where they could be aimed to provide the needed security and not at oncoming traffic. It is against the law not to change to low beams for oncoming traffic and I think it should be against the law to have security lights placed and aimed in such a way that they blind night time drivers.
