Debate team competes against Northside HS

The LCHS debate team traveled to Northside High School last Friday. The two varsity policy teams present both did very well, with the team of Abigail minor and Nik Spens winning an invitation to the Georgia Forensic Coaches' Association All-State tournament.

Abigail was also the second-ranked speaker in Varsity Policy debate. T.J. Carani competed without a partner and was a quarterfinalist and the fifthranked speaker in Varsity Policy debate as well as being voted "Outstanding Speaker" in a round of Student Congress, where he was also elected to be presiding officer.
