County votes to buy ambulance and motor grader The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners acted on routine matters at a called meeting held Thursday, October 18. During the meeting, the commission: .. Voted to continue using the ACCG's (Association County Commissioners of Georgia) Interlocal Risk Management Agency (IRMA) as the county's property and liability insurance carrier at a cost of $111,113 for the year. .. Voted to purchase a 2008 Ford Type I ambulance from Taylor Made Ambulances of Newport, Arkansas, at the low bid of $105,398. According to Ernie Doss, director of the Lincoln County Department of Public Safety, "We had anticipated that the cost of a new ambulance would have been as much as $120,000. We were very pleased with this bid." .. Voted to purchase a John Deere motor grader from Metrac of Augusta at the low bid of $159,917. .. Voted to send a proposal to transfer hotel and motel tax revenues to the Lincoln County Development Authority to the Finance Committee for further clarification of the laws governing how the money can be used. The next regular meeting of the commissioners will be held Thursday, November 8, at 5:30 p.m. in the courtroom on the second floor of the courthouse. |
