Seven Lincoln County showmen competed in the 2007 Georgia National Fair held in Perry, Georgia October 4-7. It was a busy four day event for everyone.
The showmanship contest per grade was held on Friday. All the showmen did a good job in each of their grade levels. During Saturday's competition, C.J. Goldman showed his percentage Simmental heifer and placed fourth.
The Georgia National Steer Show as held on Sunday. At this show the steers are shown by breeds. Starting the day off for Lincoln County was the Simmental Breed Show where Sadie Partridge placed second in her class.
Carson Goldman placed sixth in her class and Justin Ashmore stood fifth in his class. In the Chi-Influence Breed Show, Dalton Tankersley placed third in his class. Ivie Aycock stood third with both of her steers in the Crossbred Show.
Each steer was shown in different classes. Justin Ashmore placed fifth in his class. For the Maine-Anjou Breed Show, C.J. Goldman placed first with his steer and was named Reserve Grand Champion for this breed.
All the showmen did an outstanding job showing their animals at the 2007 Georgia National Fair.
