Roy and Mary Lou Guillebeau honored with 50th anniversary reception Sept. 16

MR. AND MRS. ROY GUILLEBEAU

Roy and Mary Lou Guillebeau were recently honored by their children at a reception in the ballroom at the Fitzpatrick Hotel in Washington, commemorating their 50 years of marriage. Roy Guillebeau and Mary Lou Banks were married in McCormick, S.C. on September 16, 1957.

The reception was hosted by their daughters, Diane Ochoa, Patricia Guillebeau and Cathy Guillebeau. Roy and Mary Lou's three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren attended the reception, along with more than 100 other family members and friends.

Originally from Lincolnton, Roy and Mary Lou have returned to live here, after residing in Brunswick, Ga., Sicily, Kansas, California, North Carolina and, most recently, Douglasville, Ga.

Roy is a Navy veteran and a retired air traffic controller. Mary Lou is a homemaker. They are members of New Hope Baptist Church.
