Legion Post 194 to host annual fair Oct. 16-20 Celebrate fall while enjoying the games, rides, and food at the 55th Annual Lincoln County Fair, which starts Tuesday, October 16, and continues through Saturday, October 20. Sponsored by American Legion Post 194, the fair will be held at the legion fairground off of the Augusta Highway. Gates open at 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and at 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. In lieu of an admission charge, visitors must pay a parking fee of $3 per car. This year, the fair will feature a multitude of booths on the midway and numerous rides. The prices are as follows: .. Tuesday and Wednesday: One price on the midway - $10. .. Thursday is Family Night: Students/ children, 21 and under, pay $7 each, and adults pay $5 to ride all night. Parking is free. .. Friday: Midnight Madness starts at 10 p.m., which means fair-goers can ride all rides from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m. for $8. .. Saturday: Single-ride coupons will be on sale. In addition to the rides and games, the American Legion Post 194 Ladies Auxiliary will be serving breakfast with a smile, starting at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The menu features bacon, eggs, sausage, grits, biscuits, toast, milk, hot chocolate, tea, soft drinks, and coffee. Then, beginning at 11:30 a.m. each day, the menu will shift from breakfast to lunch/dinner fare. From 11:30 a.m. until sometime in the night, fairgoers and the community at large will have the opportunity to sample some of the best home-cooked food in the South. The menus appear below: .. Monday: Ham, potato salad, green beans, deviled eggs, and bread. .. Tuesday: Roast beef, potatoes, carrots and onions, butter beans, and cornbread. .. Wednesday: Barbecue and hash, rice, potato salad, and coleslaw. .. Thursday: Lasagna. .. Friday: Barbecued chicken, baked beans, and corn on the cob. .. Saturday: A smorgasbord of delectable delights. Moreover, the following menu items will be available every day: chicken and dumplings, soup, chili, pinto beans, potato salad, coleslaw, hamburgers, hot dogs, cakes, pies, and candy.
