Ace Hardware closing its doors Lincoln Place Ace Hardware has announced that it is going out of business. Located on the Augusta Highway, the store opened in July of 2004. According to owner Travis Reed, "After three years of proudly serving the area, we decided to close our doors for good. We had hoped to benefit from the underserved Lincoln County area and a growing lake community, but things didn't work out quite like we had planned. The decision to close was a very difficult one." In other comments, he said, "We appreciate all of our loyal customers and employees and would like to thank the many friends who shopped at the store." The liquidation sale started Thursday, September 20, and will continue until all existing merchandise has been sold. |
