Community Calendar Mobile mammography The University Mobile Mammography Unit will be at the Lincoln County Health Department Sept. 25 and Oct. 23. Barbecue plate sale Beulah Fire Department will sell barbecue plates Sat., Sept. 22 from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. You can eat in or take out. McKameys to perform Gospel singing group The McKameys will perform at First Assembly of God on Thurs., Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m. The McKameys, who consist of Ruben Bean, Peg McKamey Bean, Connie Fortner and Carol Woodard, have been singing for almost four decades. They have been honored with many nominations and awards including 14 number one songs. A love offering will be received and a nursery will be provided. FOL to meet Friends of the Library will meet Tues., Sept. 25 at 3:30 p.m. Plans will be made for upcoming events at this meeting. Everyone interested in the library is invited to attend. Board meetings The regular meetings of the Lincoln County Board of Elections and Voter Registration will be held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. The meetings will be held at the Board of Elections, The Lincoln Center, 160 May Ave., Lincolnton, GA 30817, any changes to the schedule dates or alternate dates for meetings occurring on holidays will be posted. TIA registration drive The Twilight Improvement Association, Inc., will sponsor a Voter Registration Drive on Sat., Sept. 22 from 8 a.m. - 12 noon at the Curry Colvin Recreation Complex, 1962 Rowland York Dr., Lincolnton. The purpose of the drive is to register citizens not currently registered and to obtain updated information on electors currently registered. Ware to speak True Fellowship Pentecostal Church invites the public to worship with them on Sat., Sept. 22, 7 p.m. with guest speaker, Minister Willie Ware, III from Brooklyn, N.Y. Bishop James Ware is pastor. Festival Saturday Twilight Improvement Association will sponsor an all day festival at the Curry Colvin Complex on Sat., Sept. 22 beginning at 8 a.m. Baseball teams will be forming, so area groups and churches are encouraged to come out, make up your team, and play. There will also be a voter registration drive from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Vendors selling hot dogs, hamburgers, sodas, water, chips, etc. CCLC to meet The Concerned Citizens of Lincoln County will meet Thurs., Sept. 20, 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln County Library. Guest speaker will be Kelvin Williams, executive director of the Lincoln County Board of Elections. Everyone is welcome. Come and be a part of the CCLC. Musical prog. at Sun. The Barbara Stokes Elam Choir and the W.H. Rucker Choir will sponsor a family and friends musical program on Sun., Sept. 30, 3 p.m. at Mulberry C.M.E. Church. Everyone is invited to come and worship.
