Braden 'does it all' for neighbors

TO THE EDITOR

"We do it all." Anyone who lives in Lincoln County has probably seen or heard these words. This slogan used by John Braden for his property maintenance business has been around ever since he moved to Lincolnton years ago.

Over the 4th of July holidays, his slogan took on new meaning for the residents and guests of his neighborhood in Indian Cove. Not only do these words, "We do it all" apply to his business, but obviously to his personal interest as well.

On July 1st many friends, family members and residents of Indian Cove were treated to a spectacular fireworks show that John chose to orchestrate for the neighborhood. Trust me, this was no backyard sparkler show; this event would have rivaled any commercial fireworks display in the area.

One of the residents remarked that it was difficult to tell when the grand finale was because the entire show was a non stop brilliant, thunderous, explosive display of the most color- ful fireworks one could witness!

Generally, the most impressive display is usually held for the last several minutes of any fireworks show; not the case here. It was full throttle from the lighting of the first bottle rocket to the last group of Roman candles that lit up the sky and illuminated the Indian Cove community!

As I look around at all of the golf carts gathered for the show it reminded me of the old days at the drive in movies where we would gather for entertainment. Well, this time the sky was our screen and the fireworks were our movie.

Several people were joking when the comment was made, "I did not know John knew anything about fireworks." The reply was quickly returned with, "I guess he really does do it all!"

Speaking on behalf of those who joined us on that balmy, humid, hot July night, I would like to say thank you to John and his volunteers for a job well done.
