Lincolnton First Assembly of God welcomes their newest staff addition, Chip Woodall. He will serve as the Pastor of Family Ministries along with his wife, Donna and their five children, Christopher, Tyler, Melissa, Emilee and Tanner. Having served in recreation and children's ministry in the Augusta area for the last six years, the Woodall's are excited to be called to Lincolnton to minister to the community.
Woodall is originally from Gainesville, GA, where he attended Gainesville College. After marrying Donna, a native of North Augusta, he moved to the area and completed four years at Augusta College. Woodall was employed by Federal Express during college and Donna owned and operated the Master City Dance Studio, a family business.
Woodall's background in recreation and family programming comes from having served on staff with the YMCA of Augusta for 10 years as the Operations Director of the Wheeler Road Branch. While at the YMCA, he directed summer camp programs, childcare facilities, fitness programs and both facility and corporate memberships.
The Woodalls come to First Assembly from Grace Baptist Church in Evans where he served as Pastor of Family Activities.
The call to ministry comes with a desire to preach the gospel and see souls saved through programs such as Upward Basketball and Cheerleading. The Woodall's hope to reach out to many families in Lincolnton through recreational sports, which will involve children, youth and adults. "I know of many places that are experiencing God's touch, but we cannot think of anywhere we would rather be than Lincolnton First Assembly of God. It reminds me of the church I was raised in. We just desire that God use us however He sees fit and that the community would embrace us as we answer this call."
There are unlimited children and families to be reached for the cause of Christ, the Woodall's desire to be a catalyst for that very reason.
