Mandi Keown honored with linen shower at Remsen home

Mandi Keown, bride-elect of Rees Carroll, was guest of honor at a linen shower on Saturday, July 28, at the home of Murray Remsen in Lincolnton. Carey Anne Cushman, Anna Beth Remsen and Murray Remsen were the gracious hosts for the event.

For the occasion, Miss Keown chose to wear a white sundress and lavender shell necklace. She was presented with a pink and purple corsage, which complemented her attire and matched the floral decorations at the shower.

The dining room table in the Remsen home was covered in a white battenburg linen and lace cloth. Suspended from the dining room chandelier were six cone shaped floral arrangements consisting of lisianthus, daisies, pixie carnations, heather and leatherleaf greenery.

Guests helped themselves to crab cakes with a dill and curry sauce, pork tenderloin, rolls & condiments, broccoli and cauliflower salad, ribbon faced pimento cheese sandwiches, and a variety of sweets including cheesecake squares, lemon and raspberry tarts, and chocolate covered strawberries.

The hosts presented the bride to be with two luxurious white towel sets.

Mandi gave each of the hosts Gullah Gourmet She-Crab Soup mix, made in Charleston, South Carolina, in appreciation for such a lovely shower.
