Food for thought
By: Family Connection

Eating right helps you look better, feel better and stay healthier. And eating a good diet doesn't have to be tough. Follow these simple guidelines:

.. Eat regular meals - especially breakfast. This keeps your body fueled so you won't crave junk foods!

.. Eat a variety of foods. Try to eat lots of fruits and vegetables (at least five a day), as well as grains, dairy and protein.

.. Cut down on high-fat and highsugar foods. You don't have to give up cookies or cheeseburgers. Just eat them less often and eat healthy snacks too. Try having fruit and popcorn instead of cookies and ice cream. Try fruit juice instead of soda.

Take care of yourself and eat smart!
