Although no businesses from Lincolnton advertised in the telephone directory, several Washington businesses did including the Washington Market, under the ownership of A.A. Marshall; Lucas Jewelry Company, which also sold radios, refrigerators, ranges, and washing machines; and Jackson Grocery Store, which provided "Prompt Delivery Service."
