The Martin's Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department, along with all the responding departments and agencies, would like to thank Ernie Guthrie of Fast Times Convenience Store and Ron and Tara Johnson of Johnson Equipment for the donation of bottled water and Gatorade during the large hay field fire on Augusta Highway last Wednesday.

As everyone is aware, the temperature soared last week to over the 100 degree mark. The volunteer fire fighters and county employees who worked in the extremely high temperatures for over four hours were very appreciative for the cooling refreshments.
