Handel launches photo ID website and toll-free number Secretary of State Karen Handel today launched a website and toll-free hotline to provide information to voters about photo identification requirements for in-person voting beginning with the September 18 Special Elections. Georgians can visit www.GAPhotoID.com or call toll free 1-877-725-9797. The website lists the required forms of photo identification and tells voters how they can obtain a FREE Georgia Voter Identification Card. The website also features a frequentlyasked questions section and detailed contact information for voters with additional questions. The toll-free hotline connects voters with team members of the Secretary of State's Election Division. These individuals can provide detailed information and personal support. "These information tools are part of the first part of our comprehensive outreach plan to educate Georgia voters about the photo ID requirements," said Secretary Handel. "In addition to providing basic information through the website, we will have members of our Elections team ready to assist and answer questions." Additional outreach initiatives, including direct mail, public service announcements, and partnership pro- grams with community organizations will be launched leading up to the September 18 Special Elections and beyond. |
