Norman descendants will gather for weekend reunion

Norman descendants of William Norman Revolutionary soldier who served and was wounded at the Battle of Brandywine will be rounded up on Friday August 3, 2007 and Saturday August 4, for our bi-annual family reunion.

We will begin with a "Kith and Kin" get together on Friday evening at The Lincoln Center registration begins at 6:00 p.m. with get together to begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. Bring finger food to share as we meet and greet.

Saturday morning we will meet at Goshen Baptist Church at 10:00 am for the memorial service honoring our deceased relatives who have entered that House not made by hands since our last reunion. Honored guest speaker will be no other than our own Bruce Beggs. This will be followed at 11:00 am by the business meeting for the association. We will then break for lunch Dutch treat.

We will gather again at 2:00 p.m. at The Lincoln Center for the cemetery guided tour and salute to our deceased loved ones. Led by our favorite Murray Norman while Kenneth Norman and Roy Stampley Jr. dressed in period uniforms will conduct the salute to our war heroes.

We will assemble for the banquet meal and information and entertainment at The Lincoln Center once again at 7:00 p.m. dress is coat and tie or western wear for a barbecue dinner. Information and entertainment will be provided by Kenneth Norman in Confederate Uniform as he informs us concerning our Norman relatives who served in the War Between the States. Then Charles Gunn will entertain us with his songs and stories of the old cowboys of the silver screen now gone but not forgotten. We look forward to seeing each and everyone of you there.
