Proud of native son

TO THE EDITOR

My family moved to the Amity Community in 1919 from Elbert County. I was born September 2, 1930 and this has always been my home except when my work or my dad's work took me away temporarily.

I hope that Mr. Stephen G. Allison is the only one that finds Mr. Gary Ward's air show practice annoying. I always go out in the yard to watch this fascinating show of skill and courage. Thankfully, most people I know are proud of the professional accomplishments of a native son.

But sadly enough, there are chronic complainers around. I had some people complain about my horse and buggy on the city streets. I would like to remind them that horses and mules were dumping on these streets long before any cars and trucks ever leaked oil on them.
