Family gathers to help celebrate Robert Lee Bailey's 83rd birthday

Robert Lee Bailey with his wife, Janis, and two daughters, Beverly and Ellen, celebrating his 83rd birthday.

Robert Lee Bailey, the only living child of the twelve children born to Joel and Mae Walker Bailey, was honored on his 83rd birthday with a celebration at his home in Augusta, Saturday July 14, 2007.

Approximately 75 people gathered at the Bailey home for this happy occasion. Daughters, Beverly Beddingfield of Martinez, Ga. and Ellen Dinallo of New York were present with their families which included all five grandchildren, Gary Beddingfield of Appling, Ga., Eric Beddingfield of Nashville, Tenn., Jan Beddingfield Embry of Eatonton, Ga., Dawn Leonforte Galloway of Harlem, Ga. and Amy Leonforte Newton of Evans, Ga. and ten great-grandchildren, Mason and Avery Beddingfield, Emily, Jackson, Katherine and Garric Embry, Trey, Timothy and Rachel Galloway and Morgan Newton. All of Robert's nieces and nephews, except three, were able to attend along with several great-nieces and nephews and a few great-great nieces and nephews.

Janis' two brothers, Alex Florence of Stapleton, Ga. and Lester Florence of Dearing, Ga. and one sister Vera Hagler and her husband, Danny of Atlanta, Ga. were present along with a few family friends. There was good food and great fun had by all! What a wonderful day we had on such a joyous occasion. We are truly blessed!
