Mr. Albert Daniel Dain, 83, husband of the late Pauline Hatton Dain of Savannah Lakes Village, entered into rest Friday, July 20, 2007 at the residence.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 25 at Rees Funeral Home with Rev. Dick Albert officiating.
Mr. Dain was born in New York City, N.Y. and was the son of the late Michael and Katherine Hannas Dain. He was retired as a grocery manager, was a prolific amateur artist, very active with the McCormick County Senior Center and supported the Mc- Cormick County Humane Society.
He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served his country honorably during World War II. He was a member of the 12th Armored Division - "Hell Cats." While serving his country, he was decorated with American Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, European-African- Middle Easter Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and a Purple Heart.
Survivors include a daughter, Pauline C. Dain and William Posillico of Lincolnton; a son, Steven F. Dain and wife, Kathy of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren, Ryder Dain, Katy Dain and Samuel Dain.
